Let's get it started, let's get it started in here! I hope you just busted out singing because I did!! Ha!! So my youngest baby just turned one and I haven't really worked out in almost a year. That's kind of embarrassing to admit but between a full time job, being a mother of 2, and tending to the hubby there really hasn't been much time for myself or anything else. I guess I just have to "make" the time and make it a priority. I used to just work out for the appearance factor, but as I'm getting older I'm realizing the health factor as well.
To help achieve this goal, I entered the "Biggest Loser" challenge at my school in hopes to stay motivated this year to get healthy and back into shape. Who couldn't use an extra $100?? Thats shopping money for me!! So I grabbed my gym bag and headed to the gym. I must say that I was a little apprehensive as I walked to the door of the gym this afternoon. After reading
Erika Bohrer's blog post on how she keeps her "rockin' bod" I knew that I needed to do this.
I had my good friend
Jennifer join me for moral support. Haha, I needed it! I'm so glad she was there beside me, pushing me further every minute. I don't know how much I could've accomplished if I were there by myself. I kept looking at the timer and thinking to myself, "Am I done yet?" I felt like it was the longest 30 minutes of my day.
Do you have trouble making time to get healthy or staying motivated? It seems like we're already struggling to get everything done in a day, but what are your priorities? Do you need a friend to push you to be your best? Why not use your colleagues that understand your time constraints with being a teacher and join us by getting healthy. So if there are any followers or bloggy friends out there that would like a challenge, we can help each other get healthy this year. Let's get it started!! :-)
