Gingerbread Unit Preview

We began our gingerbread unit today and let me just tell you how thrilled the kids were to learn about something so tasty!  :-)  Here are a few of the activities that we completed today.  These materials will be included in the FREE Gingerbread Unit that will be coming soon!  All you have to do is follow this blog and you will receive the entire unit full of math and literacy activities for free.

Do you like the taste of Gingerbread??

I was surprised at how many students actually liked the taste of gingerbread.  We'll see if their decision changes when they eat some this week.  I hope you all have a great rest of the week.

Crazy Shoppers

So my husband and I decided to take advantage of the Black Friday Deals at Walmart this year.  I'm not sure if it was a good idea but it was a crazy idea.  I was pretty calm until I became elbow to elbow with those Crazy Shoppers that don't like to follow the "rules".  I guess that's the teacher in me, that always wants things to go by the rules and make sure everyone else is following them too.  In the end, we came away with $300 worth of toys for just over $100.  I'm not sure if I'll ever offer to go through that again...it was absolute chaos!  Be safe out there with those Crazy Shoppers!

Happy Thanksgiving and Welcome to Our Sweet Success teaching blog.  I am very excited to begin blogging and can't wait to share all of the fun things that are happening in my classroom.  While I'm visiting my family up north, I will hopefully have some time over the weekend to finish the activities that I have been working on to post for you.  My very first teaching unit posted will be free for all those who subscribe to our new blog, so check back here soon for more details. In the meantime, you can subscribe to our blog by email.
