I hope you all had a restful winter break and spent some quality time with your family. I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't have to go back until Monday. We spent a week visiting our family in Pennsylvania and got to enjoy some snow on Christmas morning. Santa treated my boys well this year and it was awesome to have them both understand the whole present thing. It makes me sad that they are growing so fast! Gavin is 6 now and is in kindergarten! I'm fortunate enough to be able to teach at the same school that he now attends. Being only 4 doors down from him makes me much less worried about him (even though he was blessed with an amazing teacher). My other little boy, Landen, is now 3 and has been keeping our new nanny on her toes.
This past year has been quite a treat for my family. We have had quite a few fortunate events and a couple of unfortunate ones. I think the best one was getting a new job that's only a mile from my house...saves on gas AND I get to be with my baby boy! I know that everyone has a plan in life and it's amazing to see everything fall into place. As we enter 2014, I'm hoping for even more good things to come!!
Now to the good stuff!! I've been working on some cool products over break and with all the organizing I've been getting done around the house it's taking me a little longer than expected. Here's a little teaser to keep you downloading and YES it's another FREEBIE for you to enjoy. Click on the picture below to download this QR code math center game.
Enjoy your weekend!

Well...I started a new job (at a new school of course...still teaching first) and I expected it to be an easy transition but I guess I'm just too hard on myself. Super Hero Classroom Materials
It's finally here!! Summer is just one week away for me and I'm getting my classroom material packs ready for you all to decorate and coordinate everything in your classroom. My newest and best product so far (in my opinion) is my Super Hero Classroom Materials. This new mega pack is loaded with 116 pages of super hero fun.
There are 17 different displays, posters, and printables that all coordinate with these adorable super heroes from Digital Bake Shop and Thistlegirl Designs.
You will find a variety of printables like alphabet and number strips, rule posters, vertical behavior charts, incentive charts, reading logs, and my favorite-the binder cover.
I just love the colors of the binder cover when it's all put together.
The classroom rules posters that I have included in this unit can be adjusted to meet your specific classroom rules. We use the basic school rules in our classroom as well as throughout the entire school.
They are follow directions, show respect, move quietly, and think safety. If there are any other rules that you would like to add to this pack, just send me an email and I can get those to you! (Michelle83Mcelhinny@gmail.com)
At my school, we also use the voice levels to manage student group work and collaboration. I'm sure you all know that when little ones get together, they have trouble keeping an inside voice.
This poster, included in this mega pack, will help you manage those voices.
If you would like a chance to WIN this Super Hero Classroom Materials pack, leave a comment, along with your email, with your favorite past classroom theme. I will select a mystery winner at a random day and time. So be sure to tell your friends about this giveaway and about this awesome mega pack of classroom materials. Who knows, I may even select more than one winner :-)
Also, FYI...if you visit my Teachers Notebook store, I usually run some pretty good sales where you can get all of my products for a crazy discounted price.
Happy Friday!!

Cruisin' and Salein'
Senior-itis may have just turned into teacher-itis after stepping back into reality--the classroom. So...I've been MIA for a couple weeks--hubby and I decided to take our first "alone time" vacation. We went on our very first cruise to the Bahamas and visited Freeport and Nassau. Let me just tell you how beautiful the beaches are in Nassau!! The sand was the softest, whitest sand I have ever seen and the water was the bluest, clearest. We stayed at Sandals for the day and relaxed in the peace and quiet pool/beach area all day. The weather was absolutely amazing as well! It was absolutely the paradise that we needed. Ever since we got back I have been stuck on summer and am totally ready to go back to the beach. Check out my pics below. :-)
In the meantime, while I'm anxiously awaiting the last day of school (I think I'm more excited than the kids :-D)! While I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, I'll be having a sweet little sale at my TPT store that will run through Thursday night. Take the opportunity this week to stock up on beginning of the year themed classroom materials and other posters you may need to decorate your classroom in the fall. I have several items that coordinate well with any classroom theme.
Have a wonderful week and enjoy your last few days/weeks of school.

Spring Break and Cocoppa App
This week I'm on Spring Break and I have been taking it easy...trying not to do too much. I reorganized/cleaned my house, enjoyed some family time on Easter Sunday, and have been messing around with a new iPhone app. I was browsing through pinterest and came across a pin for an iPhone app called Cocoppa. When I clicked on the pin, it sent me to a blog for Cindy Emerson's Photography and she had the entire tutorial {with pictures included} for using the Cocoppa app.
Click HERE to view the blog and the tutorial.
You're probably wondering, "What in the world is Cocoppa?" Well, it's this *ah-mazing* app that will allow you to turn your iPhone app tiles into different colors. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the pink and this Tiffany blue chevron. My husband said that I "girly'd up" my phone! HAHA! I totally did and it is soooo cute now! Just look:
This app will also let you choose different backgrounds for your iphone as well as many different colors of app tiles. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
I was going to try to get some products done so I can get them posted by the end of the week...but, I keep getting distracted by the internet. I keep finding more cool things that I want to use...like something called "Comment Love". {Not sure how it works or even if I'll like it.} Has anyone used it or even heard of it? I guess the next thing I need to figure out is how to get the Pinterest logo onto each of my photos on my blog. If you have any thoughts or ideas, it'll be appreciated. See what I mean...totally distracted. I guess I have 5 days left to get some stuff done...eeeeeeeee. :-) Have a great week! Check back this weekend to see if I actually got some work done.
